Client Feedback: Miles construction have provided a first class service to Comcare Trust as we have explored a cost effective way of producing high quality social housing units.
Through the collaborative relationship between Comcare Trust, Miles Construction, Arrow International and Housing New Zealand Corporation, we have all learned valuable lessons that we have included in future projects. From Comcare's perspective it has been great to work with someone of Alastair's integrity who has shown interest in applying his project management and company leadership skills to providing social housing for vulnerable populations in Christchurch. Alastair has given much time over and above that contracted to explore the "right way " of
progressing our building programmes. He recognizes our need to have
properties that are built to survive as long term social housing tenancies rather than one person home ownership and together we have learned the particular elements that make this type of build highly effective. Comcare Trust have engaged Miles Construction to build 4
social housing complexes totalling 17 x 1 bedroom flats. Tenants
report high satisfaction with the quality of the units and we have greatly appreciated the relationship established with Alastairs company to discuss "warts and all" topics around social housing needs.
